New Management Board of Rail Baltica joint venture has started work

As of today, 17 November 2022, the new Management Board of Rail Baltica joint venture RB Rail AS has become effective.

New, extended Management Board’s composition is comprised of six members: Chairperson of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Agnis Driksna, Vice-Chairperson and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Marius Narmontas, Vice-Chairperson and Chief ESG Officer (CESGO) Anrī Leimanis, Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Marc-Philippe El Beze, Chief Program Management Officer (CPMO)m who will be confirmed shortly after public search is completed, and Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) Marko Kivila, and is elected for a term of three years.

According to Romas Švedas, Chairperson of the Supervisory Board at RB Rail AS, the geostrategic importance of Rail Baltica keeps increasing demanding for even bigger focus on the areas that will allow acceleration of the project.

“To strengthen both the project and the team, the joint venture’s management is now extended, bringing in additional relevant competencies into the team.

With the respective changes, the new management will continue to work in full capacity to complete detailed technical designs, ensure further financing and delivering Rail Baltica project in close cooperation with the national and EU project partners and strategic stakeholders,” Mr. Švedas said.

Additionally, changes in the management RB Rail AS Lithuanian branch have taken place. Irmantas Butkauskas, former Technical director of RB Rail AS, is appointed as Head of RB Rail AS Lithuanian Branch effective from today.
