2019 Other years

In 2019 the Forum took place in Vilnius (Lithuania) from 3-4 April. During it the Rail Baltica potential for economies, people, and enterprises of the Baltic States, Finland and Poland as well as broader Europe was showcased. Together we addressed important questions such as the financing of the EU flagship infrastructure projects and future management model of the Rail Baltica infrastructure. Additionally to that we added a new dimension to the Forum by inviting municipalities, regional planners, architects and landscape designers to contribute with their ideas on how to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the Rail Baltica in urban and regional development.

Materials from Day 1 (3 April)

The first day brought together policy makers from the Baltic states and the EU to review Rail Baltica project progress, financing and infrastructure management options. With speakers from Poland and Finland, we explored how the Rail Baltica project is evolving beyond Baltic frontiers and how the project will accelerate the Baltic region development.

Materials from Day 2 (4 April)

That year the key topics were discussed on two separate stages, with the main studies, findings and upcoming tenders discussed on the Supplier Stage (along with great examples from EU railway industry associations). A new addition - The Social Dimension Stage - brought a different different perspective. For the first time, leaders of municipalities discussed the wider impact and implications of the Project, covering areas such as the prospoect for econocic development and visual guidelines.
