RB RAIL AS to Hire Five Technical Experts

The joint venture of the three Baltic States RB RAIL AS is looking for technical experts to support the development of the Rail Baltica Global Project[1]. RB RAIL AS is currently recruiting a BIM coordinator, a spatial planning specialist, a senior railway bridge engineer and two junior railway engineers. Candidates are welcome to submit their applications by August 18, 2017.

The primary responsibilities of the BIM coordinator will be to establish and lead the BIM system implementation process for the Rail Baltica project while the spatial planning specialist will be responsible for liaising with the technical team and managing the technical conditions for the design and construction of the railway. Additionally, the spatial planning specialist will monitor the spatial planning process, advise on compliance, and manage permit acquisitions.

The senior railway bridge engineer will serve in a lead technical role that will involve the planning, analysis, design, and detailing of bridge projects ranging from conventional to innovative bridge types. The junior railway engineers will support the implementation of the project’s technical activities working in close cooperation with the chief technical officer and project managers, and provide administrative and technical support, including assistance with procurement documentation.

“Experienced technical experts, especially with knowledge on BIM, are difficult to find; however, it is of vital importance to attract genuine field specialists to deliver the project in accordance with the best international practices. For this reason, we are actively promoting the Rail Baltica project among distinguished railway specialists as the most unique project to work on in recent history, considering its complex stakeholder matrix and interoperability challenges,” says Kaspars Rokens, COO of RB RAIL AS.

More information including the full description of duties and requirements for each position is available on the official website of the project at http://www.railbaltica.org/careers/. The application deadline for all positions is August 18, 2017.
