Today, on June 20, the shareholders of RB Rail AS – “Rail Baltic Estonia”, “Eiropas Dzelzceļa līnijas” and “Rail Baltica statyba” – have approved the new Supervisory Board with the following members: Anti Moppel, Member of the Supervisory Board of “Rail Baltic Estonia”, Indrek Orav, CEO of “Rail Baltic Estonia”, Edvīns Bērziņš, Chairman of the Board of “Latvijas Dzelzceļš”, Vineta Rudzīte, Deputy Legal Director on administrative issues and Head of Secretariat of Presidents’ Council of “Latvijas Dzelzceļš”, Karolis Sankovski, Director of “Rail Baltica statyba”, and Steponas Šaltmeris, Lawyer at “Rail Baltica statyba”.
The Lithuanian shareholder has decided to withdraw both of its representatives at the Supervisory Board of RB Rail AS. According to the Shareholders’ Agreement, in that instance the whole Supervisory Board has to be recalled and the new one to be appointed.
The Supervisory Board is comprised of six members – two members nominated by each shareholder. The Board members are elected for a period of three years.
