Changes in RB Rail AS Management

RB Rail AS announced changes to its Management Board effective today, May 30. Kitija Gruškevica will be stepping down from her position by mutual agreement.

Kitija Gruškevica joined RB Rail AS in 2022 as the Manager of the Latvian Branch, where she was responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Rail Baltica project at the national level and ensuring close cooperation with Latvian stakeholders. In September 2023, she was appointed as a Member of the Management Board and Chief ESG Officer, expanding her role to include participation in the strategic leadership of the joint venture.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Rail Baltica project – a strategically vital long-term initiative for all three Baltic countries. Latvia, situated at the heart of the region, carries a unique responsibility not only to its own citizens but also to our neighbours in Lithuania and Estonia – to ensure strong integration with the rest of Europe. Rail Baltica plays a crucial role in both improving military mobility and driving long-term economic growth across the Baltic region,” said Kitija Gruškevica.

“I would like to sincerely thank Kitija for stepping in during a particularly challenging time and for joining the Management Board with such dedication and resolve. Her significant contribution to solving complex issues and driving progress – especially in Latvia – has been invaluable in keeping the project on track. I wish her all the very best in her future endeavours and every success in the new challenges ahead,” said Arenijus Jackus, Chairperson of the Supervisory Board, RB Rail AS.
