Rail Baltica Forum on European Connectivity, Security, and Cooperation to take place in Madrid on 4 May 2026

The Rail Baltica Forum on European Connectivity, Security, and Cooperation will take place on 4 May 2026 in Madrid, Spain, at the ICEX Auditorium (Paseo de la Castellana 278). The high-level event continues the series of Rail Baltica seminars, bringing together policymakers, industry representatives, and experts to discuss Europe’s cross-border connectivity, security, and cooperation. 

Organised by Rail Baltica together with ICEX Spain Trade and Investment, MAFEX – the Spanish Rail Industry Association, and the Embassies of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania in Spain, the forum will feature keynote remarks from Óscar Puente Santiago, Spain’s Minister for Transport and Sustainable Mobility; Kuldar Leis, Minister of Infrastructure of Estonia; Roderikas Žiobakas, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania; and Kristīne Pudiste, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport of Latvia. 

The programme will address key policy and institutional priorities, including the development and financing of interoperable cross-border rail corridors, strategic mobility, and the resilience of Europe’s transport system. A dedicated business segment will highlight Spanish industry’s engagement in Rail Baltica and future opportunities across infrastructure, technology, and services. Representatives from RB Rail AS and the national implementing bodies will present the latest project developments and next steps.
