Job summary
The primary responsibility of the Supply Project Manager include securing successful execution of the procurement contract established to ensure supply of various railway critical construction materials (predominately railway superstructure related) and/or its components.
The key responsibilities of the Supply Project Manager include coordinating the preparation of a detailed implementation plan for the construction material supply contract, which, among other things, requires a direct involvement into day-to-day operations, stakeholder management, planning and compliance monitoring, quality control and risk management, change and financial management and reporting.
We will entrust you to
- Run detailed project plan for the implementation of the superstructure materials supply contract and drive the implementation of supply chain management processes to secure the availability of materials in line with the pre-agreed framework conditions;
- Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of the contract requirements to secure effective communication and convey successful project/material delivery. Timely communicate changes and potential issues;
- Own the rolling forecast procedure. Regularly monitor the progress of deliverables to ensure they align with the agreed-upon schedule, material quality standards etc.;
- Facilitate any changes to the original scope, schedule, or other requirements by processing and documenting change requests. If changes are required, negotiate among the supplier and purchaser to reach agreements on adjustments while ensuring compliance to the contract and fair terms for all parties involved;
- Address any deviations from contract specifications promptly and effectively, working closely with the supplier to find resolution paths. Single point of contact to address to facilitate quality and other issues related to specific material or the framework in general.
To succeed, you should have
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field is preferred. However, equivalent experience or certifications may be also considered as relevant;
- Experience in handling construction and/or supply projects, preferably in railway or infrastructure construction, but not limited to also to other industries or commodities involved;
- Understanding of key supply chain management principles for construction material delivery and its integration with construction sequence;
- Strong leadership abilities to oversee logistics operations and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with suppliers, contractors, project and contract managers;
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
