Job summary
Responsible for all elements of Cost Engineering for assigned projects within the Rail Baltica Global Project. Rail Baltica is a new fast, conventional double-track electrified and ERTMS-equipped railway line with maximum design speed of 249 km/h on the route from Tallinn through Pärnu – Rīga – Panevėžys – Kaunas to the Lithuanian-Polish border, with a connection from Kaunas to Vilnius (870 km in total).
We will entrust you to
- Assemble estimate data to develop project budget in accordance with project standards and procedures at Value Engineering, Master Design and Detailed Design stages.
- Review proposals, invoices, and other input from consultants to update project forecast. Develop standard unit rates for comparison of cost for use in new contracts and variations.
- Perform sample checking on interim payment certificates to verify appropriateness of costs and compliance with the progress measurement methodologies.
- Maintain Cost and Performance Reports for defined scope of Programs.
- Participate effectively to identify Cost Variances and to Change Control processes in general.
- Support Cost Manager with ad hoc reporting required to develop presentations for the Beneficiaries and other key stakeholders.
To succeed, you should have
- Bachelor of Science diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction or equivalent.
- 3+ years working with cost control processes for the infrastructure industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Power BI and EDMS platforms with cost management modules will be considered as an advantage .
- A beginner level of understanding of Project Controls general technical skills
- Fluent in English and preferably one of Baltic languages; a good command of technical English
- Resilience to coping with conflicting demands, able to prioritize duties and work under pressure.
