Job summary

Project Funding Controller will be responsible for the funding control of the Rail Baltica project costs in accordance with the signed CEF Grant Agreements terms and references. In particular, Project Funding Controller will be responsible for the preparation of the progress and financial reports of the signed Grant Agreements, preparation of the necessary Grant Agreement amendments, preparation of the future project applications to be financed under various EU financial instruments and other related tasks directly linked with implementation of the Grant Agreements.

We will entrust you to

• Participate in preparation of progress and financial reports to respective EU institution;
• Develop analysis of Grant Agreement financial status;
• Take part in preparation of Grant Agreement amendments;
• Participate in budget preparation of project application as per Call for proposals for EU Action grants;
• Be involved in evaluating and managing risks related to cost eligibility, double financing across the Grant Agreements (within the scope of the Grant Agreement activities);
• Be involved in revision of projects technical progress (milestones, scope, justification for delays etc).

To succeed, you should have

• Higher education in economics, finance or business administration;
• 2+ years proven experience in financial controlling;
• Excellent MS Office, especially MS Excel skills;
• Experience in preparation of EU project proposals and management of EU funded project reporting will be considered an advantage;
• Experience in work with EU institutions would be regarded as advantage;
• Highly organized, self-motivated and energetic individual who has analytic mind and can both see large picture and dig-in details for daily task;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Latvian and English.
