Tunelio konstrukcija apima 89 segmentus \u2013 79 standartinius bei 10 speciali\u0173, skirt\u0173 statybai ir prie\u017ei\u016brai. Vienas standartinis segmentas yra 217 metr\u0173 ilgio ir sveria 73 500 ton\u0173.<\/p>\n<p>Kadangi tokio dyd\u017eio konstrukcijos statybos po vandeniu yra prakti\u0161kai ne\u012fmanomos, tunelis statomas naudojant panardinto vamzd\u017eio metod\u0105: tunelio atkarpos statomos sausumoje, po to panardinamos ir sujungiamos. Didelius i\u0161\u0161\u016bkius kelia auk\u0161tas vandens sl\u0117gis, tad in\u017einieriams tenka spr\u0119sti tunelio patvarumo bei sandarinimo klausimus.<\/p>\n<p>Tunelio statyba truks de\u0161imtmet\u012f \u2013 prognozuojama, kad projektas bus u\u017ebaigtas 2029 m. ir tur\u0117t\u0173 kainuoti apie 7,4 mlrd. Eur.
