Rail Baltica Global Forum to be conducted online; in-person event rescheduled to October

The Rail Baltica Global Forum organisers are carefully monitoring the public health situation in Europe and, considering the progressive spread of COVID-19, have decided to conduct the event online. The in-person event will be carried out in October 2020 in Rīga, Latvia.

The health and safety of the project partners, colleagues and service providers is of utmost importance to us. To minimise the health and safety risks, we have opted to use the available digital tools and convey the 23 April event online. While we will not be able to ensure the entire planned programme online, we will focus on the most essential information, which is necessary for continuous implementation of the project:

  • Rail Baltica progress and plans for 2020;
  • The key technical milestones in 2020: construction logics, subsystem development and BIM;
  • Rail Baltica main procurements and strategic direction for procurement of construction works and materials;
  • Global Project long-term development activities in 2020.

The live streaming of the 23 April event will be available on the Global Forum website. In addition, viewers will be able to ask questions and take part in a discussion with the presenters via online engagement tool Sli.do.

As for the in-person gathering, we will announce the new date for October in the upcoming weeks. For those, who have already registered, we are grateful for your interest in Rail Baltica and will keep your registration valid also for the event in October.
